about time you say....

well, its only 6 months into the year and this is the first post on this poor neglected blog. Jenny and i have talked about it and today while i was making fabric flowers for my scarves i thought i would do a tutorial.....its on the fly and the light was bad, [its been a very grey day], the camera batteries were dying and its hard to photograph on your own sometimes, especially where hot glue is involved...

but i got there in the end.. with some doctoring in Picasa....:)

i have been making flowers for scarf necklaces but also to use as brooches. [i put one on a long chain and loved it as necklace too...] but they take too long to cut out and make so i came up with this idea...much quicker and i like the fluffiness of them.... ;)

ive made final pic lighter [i used black fabric] so you can see the fluffys properly :)

This Tutorial belongs to Pink Possum blog and you are free to use for whatever purposes, just give us a link back please, ....

PP Fabric Flower Tutorial.
You will need fabric that doesnt fray , like a net or knit fabric for your main fabric.......as well as some tulle or net to give it some stiffness.... you probably only need a scrap of each about 20cm strip each...very economical too... make sure you have plenty of glue sticks and BE CAREFUL....keep a bowl of cold water handy in case you do get burnt finger ...ouch!!

i'll come back tomorrow and show you my finsihed scarves...

Mmmmm an angel in a jar?!
